About Me:
I am a cultural and medical anthropologist specializing in the anthropology of drug use and addiction, cultural studies of biomedicine, and identity and subjectivity. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2002), a M.S.W. in Health and Community Practice from Washington University in St. Louis (2007), and a Ph.D. in Medical Anthropology from Case Western Reserve University (2018). My research examines how the moral politics of "addiction" and its treatment in the U.S. shapes service clients' subjectivities and socio-political inclusion.
