About Me:
I work with Mayas in Campeche, Mexico on issues of community resource management, indigenous knowledge, social organization, traditional agriculture, health (including medicinal plant use), and the interaction between change and continuity across generations and genders.. .
I am very interested in the combination of traditional and scientific knowledge in coping with global change in climate and economic/political/cultural networks. I also work on religious and symbolic aspects involved in long/term planning by communities. .
