About Me:
My primary research focus is indigenous movements in Central America, and this is related to migration. I have also worked for Michigan Migrant (agricultural workers) Legal Assistance Project from 1987-91, teach a course on Mexican-US relations that deals heavily with migration, co-founded our local Centro Hispano non-profit, design and manage service learning on behalf of recent immigrants, and occasionally serve as an expert witness on asylum cases.
