About Me:
I am the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Professor of Anthropology at Our Lady of the Lake University and a Fellow of SfAA. I am an applied anthropologist interested in disaster research, particularly the "culture of response" to disasters, disaster mitigation and recovery, community modeling, martime anthropology, and "natural resource region" analysis. Recent work has also included grants on anthropology of wellness/fitness ("Fitness by Design" project - $340,000 from KB Reynolds and BCBS).
