About Me:
I finished my PhD in the Environmental Anthropology program at the University of Washington in 2008. I am currently an Assistant Professor and lone anthropologist in the School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. My research explores transitions in fishing communities, the impacts of fisheries privatization in shaping fishing livelihoods and identities, climate change and indigenous fisheries, and mixed fishing economies in Alaska.
