About Me:
I’m a senior research scientist on the Wellbeing at Work Program. I received my doctorate in medical anthropology from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Prior to graduate school, I worked as an investigative reporter for the City News Bureau and Village Voice. I’ve written on a wide range of topics from indigenous environmental justice to contemporary circus life. Following my leadership role for Rush Hospital’s Department of Preventive Medicine on the Alive! Project, I will be developing a study on the well being of community healthcare workers for the Wellbeing at Work team, as well as supporting current studies.
I thrive as a yoga and mindfulness meditation student and teacher. My favorite place to practice is in my partner Ray’s art studio, surrounded by his paintings, with my sidekick, Ella, by my side.
