About Me:
I am Dr. Sachin Atre from Pune, India. I have been trained in anthropology, with a special focus on medical anthropology-towards understanding the biosocial determinants of TB and drug-resistant TB. I was also involved in others research areas such as ageing, nutrition and leprosy related operational research issues. Other major work was also related to gender and TB research.
I was awarded with Ph.D. in 2008. I have spent almost 10 years in public health research and particularly experienced in understanding biosocial and behavioral determinants while studying above-mentioned research areas. I have been trained in qualitative and quantitative research methods applied for community based studies. I have worked in international collaborations and also contributed as a lead author in 7 international publications.
I am interested in working in the area related to public health policy research and medical anthropology.
