About Me:
I am an applied medical anthropologist. I work at RTI International in RTP, NC. My career is defined by two interests, the design and development of community-level health promotion interventions and the application of cognitive cultural theory to health behavior change activities. My educational and work experiences include developing health communication and evaluation plans. Curernt projects include conducting formative research to inform social marketing campaigns aimed at promoting routine testing for HIV/AIDS in the United States, developing district level programs for routine testing for HIV in clinical settings in Uganda, and evaluating a program on fire safety and smoke alarm installations. Methodologically, my expertise is in qualitative research methods, including cultural domain analysis, unstructured and semistructured interviews, and focus group discussions.
