About Me:
I am a community-engaged researcher specializing in global health and an Assistant Professor of Child, Youth and Family Studies. My work broadly focuses on the intersections of migration, resilience, and structural vulnerability. Specifically, I examine how refugees build psychosocial and emotional resilience in the context of forced migration. I have spent more than a decade working as a practitioner and researcher with refugees in both the United States and Kenya, and I am interested in the translation of research findings to improve refugees’ wellbeing both locally and globally.
