About Me:
Kelly Yotebieng is a PhD student and Graduate Research Assistant with the Ohio State University’s Department of Anthropology and plans to investigate mental health, stigma and coping strategies, including access and barriers to available services, among urban refugees living in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Her background includes a B.A. from the University of South Florida with a focus on medical anthropology and a Masters of Public Health from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine with a focus on Global Health. She has spent over 12 years living and working in the field, primarily in the Central Africa region, on issues related to maternal and child health, psychosocial support and humanitarian programming for refugees and displaced persons.
