About Me:
Works as a Community Advocate and Organizer at SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center utilizing her anthropological training to help immigrant communities fight against anti-immigrant laws. She is presently working with community grassroots groups to conduct outreach work. This outreach helps immigrants know their rights and responsibilities under SC Laws. Her work is focused on empowering marginalized communities through direct access to information and resources.
In the community, she conducts workshops on civil and legal rights like “Become Civically Engaged”, “Understanding the US Justice System,” “Racial Profiling: How to Identify and Document,” “Consumer Protection Issues Affecting Immigrant Communities” and “Know Your Rights in the Work Place.”
