About Me:
I'm a student at Utah Valley State College, over the last four years I've been working on applied anthropology projects in the Sierra Tarahumara, Mexico, Tijuana, Mexico and Irapuato, Mexico. I have recently begun work with two non-profits based in Salt Lake City: Utah Mission Tijuana, and Heartstrings. In the first we help provide housing and educational opportunities for the urban poor of Tijuana and the surrounding areas, the second provides music education and musical instruments to underprivileged children around the Wasatch Front in Utah.
My interests are applied anthropology, ethnobotany, and ethnomusicology.
