About Me:
I work as Assistant Professor in Sociology and U.S. Latino/a Studies at Iowa State University. My current researh examines the social, political, and cultural dynamics associated with a growing Latino/a presence in "new destinations," specifically, rural communities in the U.S. Midwest. I am especially interested in understanding the simultaneously spatialized and racialized dimensions of lived experience in communities that are facing continued and growing Latino/a immigration.
