About Me:
Hi, I am currently on the faculty in the department of anthropology at Laval University, Quebec City, Canada. My main research interest center around issues of social justice, peace, and political imaginaries. These interest are pursued by examinig the ways in which violence and exclusion influence people's lives and, more specifically, their hopes and aspirations. I am currently doing fieldwork in Mexico, Guatemala, and Canada, focusing on indigenous movements that seek social justice through various forms of autonomous productive projects. My recent work has put an emphasis on studying Indigenous forestry ethics and practices, and especially on how these ethics and practices can become focal points in processes of political affirmation.
