About Me:
I am an Anthropology PhD degree candidate at the University of Maryland, College Park. My anthropological interests include community-based tourism, local participation in development, the political economy of INGO-local organization partnerships, action research, and Vietnam and East Africa. I also enjoy supporting independent musicians (I am married to one), traveling, camping, good books (Vonnegut is a favorite), photography, movies (Wes Anderson is a favorite), and good beer or whiskey with friends. I am currently involved in the planning stages of a community-based tourism project in rural Vietnam with the INGO Counterpart International.
