About Me:
I am interested in research which deals with how people interact with, relate to and utilize marine resources. I am also interested in cultural perceptions of "nature" and "place", North American Indigenous and Native American Studies, and environmental and marine policy. Other areas of interest include environmental education, how ecological concepts and literacy is conveyed to the public, tourism and recreational studies, and ecotourism.

The focus will be the ways that formal, policy oriented language articulates with communities, scholars, and other language communities in the policy process (that is, it is not a forum on the policy of language, but the language of policy).
