About Me:
Dr. Narantsetseg Tserendagva (born in 1975), has been serving as Head of Youth Gender Center, Mongolia since 2001.
Dr. Narantsetseg is a member of Vancouver NGOs representatives in Vancouver city hall, program assistant at YMCA, and program coordinator at Gordon Neighborhood House NGO in Canada.
She was the program director of Foundation for the Rural Women’s Development from 2005 to 2006. In that capacity, Dr. Narantsetseg involved in numerous activities and discussions ranging from various challenges to women in Mongolia to the strategic management plan for non-governmental organizations.
Dr. Narantsetseg previously held a range of administrative positions in non-governmental, non-profit and social organizations including consultant in World Vision International, advocacy team leader of Mongolian Gender Equity Committee, project coordinator at Gal Golomt National Movement, and director of media of Mongolian Women’s Federation.
She has also been very active in the activities of social organizations and international institutions having a number of responsible positions such as member of General Council, Mongolian Women’s Federation; Member of the Board of Directors, Association of Mongolian Business Women; Member of the Board of Directors, Foundation for Rural Women’s Empowerment; General director of the Board of Directors, Youth Gender Center; Member of the Board, Gal Golomt National Movement NGO; Team leader of Information, External affairs, and Monitoring Council, Association of Mongolian Canoe; Representative of King George International Business College and KGIBC – Canada TESOL Centre; and Representative of Charlie Dickinson University, Vancouver Canada.
Dr. Narantsetseg was the advocacy team leader of Mongolian Gender Equality Committee in 2006 aiming to elevate gender equity concerns and advance successful gender policies in Mongolia.
She holds Ph. D. in Public Administration from National Academy of Governance, Mongolia, and has taught public relations and gender issues at several Mongolian universities.
Dr. Narantsetseg wrote more than sixty articles, essays, reviews, speeches and books that reflect on the status of women in Mongolia, forming and developing NGOs/civil society organizations, gender equity issues, and non-profit management/relation subjects.
She is a recipient of many awards and achievements such as “Steel pen” by Mongolian Journalists’ Federation, Appreciation from Mongolian Human Rights Commission, and 2001 and 2002 Championship from Association of Mongolian Canoe.
Dr. Narantsetseg’s experience in working with multilateral institutions and administrative positions places her uniquely to work and succeed in any offered position dedicated to promoting social development through public-private partnerships.
