Practicing anthropologist for 25 years. Applied in maritime setting (6 years) then state government (community development, housing issues); Most recently (5 years) for state-level NGO in emergency management and other issues. Am (finally) completing PhD at the University of Florida in Anthropology. Strong interest in: southern US culture, coastal communities, common property resources, fisheries management; community-based Action Anthropology.
