About Me:
I am doctoral candidate in cultural anthropology at Syracuse University. My dissertation research spans local governance, bureaucracy, and economic development programming. I fell into the field of user experience research quite by chance and have since been fascinated with the deep, deep need for ethnographic praxis in the corporate sector. I find it ironic that while my colleagues strongly value the qualitative skills I bring to the table, I heard little in graduate school about the merits of anthropology outside of the not-for-profit, government, and academic space.
