About Me:
I introduce myself as an anthropologist. This is because culture is my first love and my chief interest. My focus as an anthropologist had landed on tourism. I have studied and worked in refugee integration, grassroots organization, immigration law, music, humanities and hospitality. I have chosen to specialize in the field of tourism because I have realized that while I am an anthropologist, I am also, and always will be, a tourist. I believe there are good forms of tourism and damaging forms. My goal is to work from a culturally informed perspective to help develop or, when necessary, re-establish tourism in its good forms in any cultural setting where that same desire exists. As well as being an anthropologist and perpetual tourist I am also a musician, bartender and foodie. I am interested in ornithology and art. I love to cook, play soccer and hike. I am obsessed with jazz and even score short films on the side. I'm a quick study, having learned both Spanish and Catalan in one year while earning a Master's degree in Applied Anthropology. I am flexible, don't stress out very easily and have been described as ludicrously positive. I am always looking toward the next opportunity, planning the next adventure. I'd love to hear from you if you think you know of a grand one on the horizon.
