About Me:
Working on my dissertation on hunters and gatherers in Sri Lanka, South Asia. I compare the indigenous "Veddahs" or Wanniyala-Aetto (meaning Forest Dwellers) as they call themselves and the "Bushmen" (San, Ju/'hoansi, Basarwa)of the Kalahari in southern Africa. Both peoples were removed from their ancestral land by their resp. governments and placed somewhere else. I collaborate with Michigan State University and the anthro. focus on indigenous people, human rights vs. gov. or industrial development. I live in Sweden and in the US.
