Interests and research include: globalization; social and digital media, especially Twitter, and how it is used for activism by anthropologists; virtual communities as a platform for education; anthropology of news and journalism; public policy reform in regard to e-waste disposal and recycling with regard to human and environmental rights violations in developing countries; and public policy and aging.
