About Me:
I have a DrPH, doctorate in (Public Health) and conducted an ethnography on lay healers for my dissertation. My dissertation advisor was a medical anthropologist. I have since conducted research to better understand health behaviors of women, and supervised a number of doctoral student's research in the illness experiences of patients with specific diagnosis of chronic conditions. I teach qualitative research at the doctoral level at UTHSC-H school of nursing and have a joint appointment at the UTHSC-H school of public health
