About Me:
I am an Associate Professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks where I teach and mentor BA, MA, and PhD students in cultural, applied, and medical anthropology. I have been a Sustaining Fellow of the SfAA for many years. My research focuses on cross-cultural health promotion, health disparities, and research ethics. My current project examines pregnancy and birth experiences in Interior Alaska. I recently completed a training program in Peru for certification as a Holistic Doula.
