Hi Jennifer! How is life in Seattle? I have finally had a chance to do some SIAs and community profiles here in the EU and I really enjoyed them. IN fact, I'd even call the one I did in the Netherlands fun! I'll be doing one more in Scotland later this year and supervising four more in the Baltic. It's been nice to finally get to do this sort of work after doing more sociology of science for the first coupla years. Hope all is well!

About Me:

I am a research anthropologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service. My area is Alaska, including the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands,and Gulf of Alaska - all incredibly beautiful and interesting areas. I study commerical, recreational, and subsistence fisheries and fishing communities. I also have experience with marine mammals (both harvesting and tourism) in Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii. I hang around on the fringes (i.e, as affiliate faculty) of the University of Washington's Environmental Anthropology program.
