About Me:
While pursuing my studies, I worked with different non-profit organizations across national, cultural and language barriers. E.g., I found an Amnesty International chapter at the University of Bremen, Germany. I became fascinated by the phenomenon of Pentecostal Christianity during a three months-summer internship with CARE GoG in Ghana. I recently served as an Avaaz.org Climate Change Fellow in the run-up to the German general election and Copenhagen climate conference. I hope to raise more awareness of the link between global warming and extreme poverty. Moreover, I work as a research assistant for a project on "Cognition and Marian Apparitions" for the Max-Planck Institute and Oxford University.
I have wondered for a long time about how to best reconcile my enthusiasm for the social sciences and NGO work – Applied Anthropology seems to be the answer! Thank you for your great work, and I am looking forward to exchanging ideas with you!
