Michelle San Pedro is a doctoral student in anthropology at University of Connecticut with over ten years of experience as a registered nurse. She collaborates with the Ministry of Health and a health and human rights organization, Juntos Adelante, to identify challenges in the provision of quality maternity care in Nicaragua.
