I teach social anthropology at University of Delhi.
Have done fieldwork in Sri Lanka , Nepal , Nagaland on North East India and tribes of central india on cultural tourism ,downward accountability , globalization and anthropology of health . Recently completed the tenure as Vice Chancellor ,Utkal University , Odisha and currently President , Indian Anthropological Association and Vice President , IUAES.
