About Me:
I must admit, at first; I became interested in Anthropology after taking one course- but then I was hooked. Unfortunately because of travel expenses and the fact that I am not rich (nor funded...yet :-) ), I have yet to experience anything outside the United States.
I am interested in the future stability of the South Caucus region; namely Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the region of Nagorno Karabakh. I've examined of the loss social capital among Internally Displaced Peoples (IDP's) and how the promotion of nationalism hinders sustainable regional development.
As a result, I'd like to further my studies in the field of development and Geography.
My most recent job has been working with a think-tank in Newark, NJ. My boss started an NGO that focuses on providing affordable expertise and business consulting to entrepreneurs seeking to elevate their business idea to the next level. My position there has been social and marketing research; along with using GIS for real estate. In addition to helping our clients, I am also help our company by expanding our internet prescence and blogging experience for social networking and ideas. Overall, it is a nice experience to help people jump-start their businesses- and I hope to continue this in the future as a consultant
Cheers!
