About Me:
Mathews Wakhungu is a cultural and design anthropologist serving as a Research Principal at Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI) Kenya. His work focuses on supporting under-resourced and historically marginalized communities in Kenya and South Florida, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and environmental justice, Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), disaster and risk management, and the intersection of climate and health in mega and emerging cities.
